Microsoft's architectural hole

The print version of Microsoft's new architecture journal is wonderfully arty in a self-conscious sort of way. But what is the small hole cut out of the middle of the spine for no readily apparent reason?

Quick as a flash the cry goes up, "It must be the security hole!"
